Exploiting Smartphone Sensors for Indoor Positioning: A Survey

Due to an increase in the demand of context-aware applications, there is a higher requirement for an accurate user location information. Todays mobile devices contain embedded sensors like gyroscope, accelerometer and electronic compass. Researchers are exploiting these sensors to estimate user position and location in different environments. This paper surveys the latest trends of using these sensors for indoor mobile localization.
